Biden’s best strategy though might be allowing President Trump to take center stage … for middle-class, blue collar communities with growing minority populations … the promises Trump made have not always been “Promises Kept.”
This year, both the Biden and Trump campaigns have shifted their focus to Midwestern swing states such as Minnesota. In the 2016 election the Minnesota vote went to Hillary Clinton by a margin of only 1.5%.
Missouri was blue for a stint in 1992 and 1996, with President Bill Clinton winning the state twice, but quickly turned Republican and has remained that way since. This year, the recent Republican leaning of the state does not seem to have wavered much.
While the Democratic nominee has won New Hampshire four of the last five elections, it has always been by slim margins. Hillary Clinton only has a 0.4 point advantage over Donald Trump in the 2016 election when she earned not even a majority of the state votes at 47%.
With only a week out, both candidates wrestling for a victory in a state where a flip of a coin could do the same job. Seen from the current polling, Biden averages only one point above Trump.
