Hello and welcome to the new Honors College blog!
We’re launching this blog with our new site and hope to include many more bloggers over time.
What do you think of our new site? Our goal was to create a clean, intuitive site where you can find the information you’re looking for. We also wanted to give a sense of the people who shape the honors experience here on campus – we hope you’ll check out the student and faculty profiles on the site. There’s more to come.
This website has been my first priority since joining the Honors College staff in September. I can’t think of a better way to learn an organization from the inside out! The site has been very much a team effort. A drum roll please for:
- Carol Gattis and Maribeth Lynes and Chris Nixon for getting this going
- Ali Williams’ clean design and generous follow up finessing
- Chris Nixon’s work to build the site and expertise in all things Reddot
- Najma Habib’s assistance in building the new site
- Camilla Medders’ student and faculty profiles
- The excellent photos taken by Stephen Ironside (2010 Honors College grad and owner of Ironside Photography), and Jim Gattis (associate dean emeritus of engineering and associate professor emeritus of electrical engineering)
Our new site is definitely a work in progress. We want to hear your suggestions, corrections, and ideas. There’s lots more to come, so come back often.
